Men's Journal "Gear of the Year" includes Millenia CT!

Men's Journal released it's "Gear of the Year" list of recommended products and the Paradigm Millenia CT made the cut!

"Big sound can come from small speakers: You just need a lot of power and a clever design. The Paradigm Millenia CT has a crushing peak-system power of 480 watts but won't clutter up the living room. It's satellites boast spacious treble, while its eight-inch cone sub delivers driving bass. Invest and home-move night will never be the same." - Geoff Morrison

Inside the Home Theater of Home Theater Review's Publisher, Jerry Del Colliano

Ever wondered what the big names in the high-end audio industry have setup in their personal home theaters?

HomeTheaterReview.com Publisher, Jerry Del Colliano sent us a couple of great photos of his, and we're proud to see that of all the high-end speaker options out there, Jerry chose Paradigm's Reference Signature v.3 speakers. Check out the photos below...

Jerry Del Colliano's home theater Publisher of HomeTheaterReview.com

Why Paradigm?
In December of 2011, HomeTheaterReview.com selected the Paradigm Reference Signature S8 v.3 as "Best High End Floorstanding Speaker". Here's what Jerry had to say...

"The idea that an $8,500 per pair set of Paradigms can take on the likes of a Wilson WATT Puppy or Revel Ultima Salon2 would be considered audiophile blasphemy to some, but guess what – they not only compete, they win. You don’t necessarily have to spend $30,000 per pair to get one of the best, most highly engineered speakers money can buy. Thank you Paradigm."

Thanks for sharing Jerry!

"I'm left with only one conclusion: Paradigm's Millenia CT is exceptional." - Hans Wetzel, SoundStage!

In October, Hans Wetzel of SoundStage! did a tour of our factory here in Mississauga, Ontario Canada where he saw and heard our latest pride and joy, the Paradigm Millenia CT. We offered to send Hans a system to try out and he accepted without hesitation.

Now, just one month later, SoundStage! has published Hans' comprehensive review of the - as Hans put it - "cheeky little lifestyle system". A system that earned the 'SoundStage! Network Reviewers' Choice' award and one that Hans liked so much, he decided to buy and keep for himself!

On that note, here are a few spoilers from the review. But if you're in the market for an audio/multi-media system, we encourage you to check out the full review on the SoundStage! Xperience website...

You cheeky little lifestyle system, you
"Any thought of comparing the Millenia CTs to the Klipsches evaporated within seconds of my starting to play music through the Canadian system. The Paradigm system should not be compared to a 2.1-channel computer speakers system, or a generic lifestyle system, or even the excellent Audioengine A5+ powered speakers I so favorably reviewed earlier this year. It is superior in every way."

"This. Is. High-end." - Hans Wetzel on the Millenia CT
"There was a proper soundstage. Horns sounded like horns. Drums sounded like drums. There was a cohesive stereo image. The subwoofer played deeply and tunefully -- none of that boomy upper-bass garbage that many manufacturers try and peddle as "room-shaking"... This. Is. High-end."

"Perhaps more impressive than the vocals themselves was the fact that their timbres didn’t change as the volume increased. Even at the maximum volume I’m willing to play in my suburban apartment building without risking angering my neighbors, the Paradigms refused to distort -- a compliment to both the satellites and the amplifier driving them."

"In each instance, I was genuinely surprised by how much detail and clarity the Paradigms made available to me. I can’t overstate how accomplished the CT satellites were."

Conclusions
"Those considering a home theater in a box would do well to consider Paradigm’s 2.1 system... I’m left with only one conclusion: Paradigm’s Millenia CT is exceptional. This conveniently sized and carefully conceived system doesn’t merely hint at high-end sound -- it actually provides it. If what I’ve written thus far isn’t convincing enough, then perhaps my actions will speak more clearly: I’m buying my review sample."

We hear you Hans, thanks!

"Paradigm's new Tribute loudspeaker is the company's best looking and... best sounding loudspeaker to date." Doug Schneider, SoundStage!

Doug Schneider of SoundStage! came to visit the Paradigm & Anthem room at TAVES and after taking a good look & listen, was baffled by one of our Limited Edition 30th Anniversary speakers, the Tribute. Here's the first line of his show write-up:

"I'll cut to the chase and tell you now that Paradigm's new Tribute loudspeaker is the company's best looking and, from what we could tell at TAVES 2012, best sounding loudspeaker to date."

"Ever wanted $25,000 loudspeakers for a quarter of the price?"

Doug went on to say... "I think some might think it to be nothing more than one of their Signature S6s with a fancy new finish and some other cosmetic embellishments. From what I gleaned from their designers, however, that doesn't seem to be the case." ... and he's right!

You see, the Tribute (floorstanding) and little sister, Inspiration (bookshelf) are a species of their own, including latest-generation driver technology: carbon-anodized aluminum cones, Paradigm's patented corrugate surrounds, beryllium tweeters and to name a few other features: recessed drivers, polished chrome plinths/stands, curved cabinet design, a brand new beautiful real-wood veneer finish, and a whole pile of other special aesthetics that celebrate just how far we have come in 30 years.

"...What this translates to in the listening experience is better clarity than I've ever heard from a Paradigm speaker, particularly through the midrange, along with tighter, deeper bass... In fact, the Tribute sounded so full, open, and refined that it could easily put to shame many of the boutique-brand floorstanders that sell for three, four, or even five times its price, in turn making it one of the best-value high-end loudspeakers on the market today."

"...the entire speaker, including cabinet and drivers, is made in Canada"

Most importantly to us and possibly to Doug as well, is that the Tribute and Inspiration are designed, engineered and manufactured from top to bottom at Paradigm headquarters, here in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. In fact, some of us here at Paradigm say that the 'inspiration' for this limited edition 30th anniversary project, is in fact a 'tribute' to the very first Paradigm speakers made back in the 80s: 2-channel, Made in Canada... (See what we did there?!)

According to Doug, the only shortcoming with the Tribute is that it is a limited-edition production run. Though we have yet to release the Tribute and likely won't for at least a month, Doug encourages readers to consider them (and fast), because once the boxes are sealed, we'll be moving on to the next innovative project.
