Signature S6 v.3 System Wins SoundStage! "Reviewers' Choice" Award

Roger Kanno of the SoundStage! Network, reviewed the Paradigm Reference Signature S6 system, (including Signature S6, C3, ADP3, SUB 1 and PBK) and called it "...an absolutely stellar combination of loudspeakers."  In fact, SoundStage! liked this system so much, they announced it winner of the "Reviewers' Choice" award!

"For both movies and music, each component of the Signature v.3 system performed flawlessly. The S6 v.3's were spectacular, whether on their own or as part of a 5.1-channel system. Some manufacturers' center and surround models seem afterthoughts, but the C3 v.3 and ADP3 v.3 matched the performance of the incredible S6 v.3 note for note. Add to all this a truly world-class subwoofer in the SUB 1, which includes Paradigm's sophisticated PBK-1 room-correction system, and it's hard to imagine a better home-theater speaker system at any price."

"Reference Status" says AVForums.com after reviewing our prestigious Signature SUB 1

Russell Williams of AVForums.com in the UK reviewed the Paradigm Reference Signature SUB 1 and it blew him away - (almost) literally.
"Reference Status. There, I said it. You can't mark it down for being hard to move because so is my wife and I still keep her about. Like the wife, in just about every other respect, it's just so damn easy to live with. Whereas other subs may have you fiddling about with separate movie and music settings to bypass their deficiencies, you just plug the Sub 1 in, tune it once, put the microphones away and sit grinning like a nun who's found the soap; for hours on end."

All jokes aside, Williams then went on to say, "I never thought that movies needed a bit more bass or that music sounds a little bloated – It just did accurate bass, as loud or low as you could want, and then stopped exactly when it wasn't being asked to anymore. It never drew attention to itself in an unpleasant way; it turns itself on and off without missing the beginning of an effect; and looks gorgeous in any front room."

Paradigm & Anthem show off their Flagship Pieces in this Parisian themed Custom Home Theater

Award-winning Chicago Interior Designer John Cannon designed a home theater and entertainment zone with hints of an antique Parisian bar decorated with Art-Deco details. Incorporated in the 'zone' was a breathtaking home cinema with Paradigm & Anthem flagship installation by George Georgiou of Cinetec Audio Video Design Centers in Palos Hills, IL.

Georgiou chose to deck out the theater in the Paradigm Reference Signature line because as he puts it...

"Paradigm has, at every price point, a speaker that competes with the best of the best in the world... so when I'm deciding which speaker we're going to use in a particular room, I look at the capabilities of each speaker in [Paradigm's] catalog and decide what's going to eb best for the project depending on a budget. With this room, we needed world-class performance, and so we went with S8. I don't know that there's a better speaker for the money."

At the front of the room Georgiou used a pair of S8's and a C5 center channel. However, at the rear of the room, Georgiou wanted to match the S8 & C5 sonically but he couldn't use traditional in-walls in the curved wall. "As good as the guys at Paradigm are, they don't make curved back boxes," he says. But Georgiou found the perfect solution using four Signature W5 speakers, a thing on-wall speaker.

Also incorporated in the theater is Anthem Statement electronics including the award-winning D2v audio/video processor as well as P2 & P5 amplifiers. The curved rear wall also posed some serious acoustical challenges but Georgiou used ARC Anthem room correction kit included with the D2v to tame the sound field.

Expertly Matched! - Dean Seislove about the Paradigm Reference Studio 20's & Seismic 110

Dean Seislove, of Positive Feedback reviewed the Paradigm Reference Studio 20's and the Seismic 110 and couldn't get enough of this combo...

"The Seismic 110 and the Paradigm (Studio) 20 v.5s bring out the best in each other, all to the good for the fortunate listener who needs a full sound without sacrificing a lot of floor space... Paradigm speakers, and the Paradigm 20s in particular, are famous for a reason. Excellent design, impeccable quality, and highly involving sound is hard to accomplish, and if you want a sound that brings out the neighbors to peer over the fence to check out the party, give a listen to this highly potent combination."

About the Seismic 110, Dean commented that "Granted, the Seismic 110 (which reminds me either of a squatty black bulldog or an old fashioned beer keg, I can't decide which) has a lot more fun loosening floorboards... I never once felt like the bass was crowding me out of my chair, if you know what I mean."

Seislove complimented this duo in the most flattering way possible when he said "... this subwoofer is matched so expertly with the Paradigm (Studio) 20s, it's as if they were all of one piece, a much better integration of sub and speakers than any configuration I've every had in my listening space."

Music-Making Naturals! Signature S8 Seduces Golden-Eared Audiophile, Marc Mickelson

Marc Mickelson of The Audio Beat reviewed a pair of our prestigious Paradigm Reference Signature S8's and had A LOT to say about their engineering and music-making ability.  Read on! ...

"The 1" P-Be (pure-beryllium) tweeter is a technical marvel... It would not be boasting to say that the P-Be tweeter is one of the most advanced high-frequency drivers ever made."

...But not only did the highs impress Mickelson... "This transition from tweeter to midrange was handled well, the two drivers sounding like one. This is vital to suspending disbelief, a poor transition or sonically mismatched drivers ruining any possibility of achieving realism, at least for me."

"There is a great deal to admire about Paradigm's best-of-the-best effort, including dazzling treble region, thanks to one special tweeter, a well-integrated midrange, and nimble, deep bass. Diligently set up, these speakers convey space, including height information, better than most and better than some that cost many times their price, and they transport you into the unique sonic world of each recording in an exhilarating way."

"I've yet to hear a sub-$10,000 speaker that's better than the S8 v3, and I've heard many, many that are far more expensive and not nearly as accomplished in both general and specific ways. In fact, the quality of the music-making and the reasonable price of Signature S8 v3 render some of its more expensive and esoteric competition irrelevant."

"Golden-eared audiophiles, and especially the audio press, need to hear these speakers, perhaps again and again, so that the music-making abilities of Paradigm speakers sink in."  .... and we agree! Sounds like these speakers did their job in seducing yet another esteemed audiophile.
